Lutz Manzelmann

To feel out the soul of things, and to make a difference in other peoples’ lives is his calling. Lutz is the brain and soft-hearted backbone of the organisation, assisted by Mustapha Hendricks and Lubabalo Ndabula. His strong inner core, enduring passion and care for people in need sailed the boat, after a long and sometimes uncertain voyage, into the harbour. He is the creator and main facilitator of The Activation Camp.

Born in Hamburg, Lutz studied theatre in Vienna and worked as an assistant director and production coordinator at several European opera houses. In 1995 he founded his acting agency in Berlin, with a strong personal approach and never-ending care for his actors. After moving to Cape Town, he developed a new and upscale book concept to showcase South Africa to a discerning global readership. His publication, The International TravelGuide South Africa, became one of the most highly accredited travel books written on South Africa. Later that year he met and partnered with Mustapha Hendricks, and by 2015, after numerous writing and video projects, the duo developed and produced The Activation Game, the 12 1/2 week personal development course. Since then, Lutz’s primary focus is on coaching and empowering young adults, and making a difference in their lives.
